Quebecs recognises its environmental responsibility and is committed to improving its performance towards a sustainable future.
- We securely recycle all office paperwork
- We recycle all card, glass and plastic
- Our branded stationary is printed on FSC certified paper using vegetable based inks
- Where practicable we have replaced standard bulbs with eco bulbs to reduce energy consumption
- We have a key card energy reduction system in the guest rooms
- We control the exterior lighting with an actively managed timer switch
- We have a preventative maintenance programme in place to ensure efficient operation and energy usage of plant and equipment
- In back of house areas, lights are required to be switched off before exiting, as are computers
- We monitor our electricity usage in comparison to previous years
- We offer guests the choice to decline housekeeping, which reduces the amount of water, energy and chemicals used by the hotel
- We offer guests the choice to re-use their towels and not have them replaced daily
- Half toilet rolls and guest amenities are put to use in staff areas
- We support local suppliers where possible
- Where possible we use Fairtrade products
- We encourage local recruitment
